  • Bentonville Public Library Books on Main Adult Book Club – 1-2 p.m. third Thursday of each month at the Bentonville Public Library
  • Community Creative Center – May 2-4 in downtown Fayetteville

Meetings and Gatherings

These are just a few of the events happening in Northwest Arkansas and Northwest Arkansas this month, April.

Learn how the health care system in Rogers has changed from the days of the country doctor making house calls, to having a state-of-the-art hospital capable of caring for hundreds of patients at one time.

Guest speakers Dr. Michael Reese, Dr. Gary Neaville and Dr. Barry Allen will share a brief history on the practice of medicine in Rogers, along with their personal experiences and professional stories as long-time medical physicians in Rogers.

The question-and-answer portion of the program will be emceed by John Sampier. Audience participation is encouraged.

Admission is free for Friends members. Not-yet-Friends members may join at the door for a $20 individual or $30 family annual membership. Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.

Arts and Culture Highlights

  • Brad Schwieger and Lorna Meaden, nationally recognized artists, will demonstrate pottery techniques at the Arkansas Pottery Festival
  • Exhibition and pottery sale of more than 50 potters from around the region will be available at the festival
  • A handmade flower and plant sale fundraiser will be held at the festival

Young at Heart Adult Book Club – focused on reading young adult fiction and nonfiction, 6-7 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month

First Edition Adult Book Club – a reading exploration across genres, 6-7 p.m. second Tuesdays

Mayor’s Book Club – read along with the mayor’s 2025 picks, 6 p.m. 17
