This project aims to celebrate the town’s rich history and heritage, while also engaging residents in a meaningful way. The project will involve collecting oral histories, photographs, and other materials from residents. These materials will then be used to create a digital archive, a website, and a physical exhibition. The project will be led by a team of volunteers, including historians, archivists, and community members.
The festival is also expanding its offerings with a series of talks and workshops, focusing on topics like sustainability, climate change, and the future of work. These talks and workshops will be hosted by leading experts in their respective fields. The Times Festival of Literature is a celebration of the written word, a platform for authors, and a space for readers to connect and engage with the world of literature.
The festival will be held from Friday 4 to Sunday, October 13 at venues across Cheltneham.
